A native of South Africa my adopted country for most of my life; born in the U.S. from which emigrated in 1965. My South African wife completed her studies in Funeral Directing this year and we will return to Durban early next year where my Guru in his Ashram resides, sadly to miss all the Pujari's , Trustee's and Devotees of the temple in Tampa . Our two children, a daughter and son, will remain behind, now spouses, and continue with their studies. By Gods grace I hope to continue writing and will use the format of the Internet to share whatever Gods will is. We are all but instruments of his will and energy.

By sharing our articles of faith we can extend our understanding of the purpose of our life and experience an infinitesmal part of God's Perfect Knowledge. Indeed our children need exposure to the sadhana's through our example, a happy fulfilling life is to be experienced and enjoyed. The Bhagavad Gita tells us that God is the Enjoyer and Enjoyed. We share in That. The feeling of My-ness is the greatest affliction, the feeling of Not-My-ness is the greatest joy . This joy translates to humbleness , the practice of ahimsa and the quest for knowledge within the Sanatana Dharma. Knowledge leads to Devotion, Devotion leads to Knowledge. Knowledge of the Sastra's and practice of the five austerities of Holy Rites, Penance, Japa, Meditation and Jnana liberate our soul from its worldly existence. The vibrancy and joy we receive in that knowledge carry us over the ocean of misery in this lifetime to the far shore of liberation, free from the samsaras and eventually we become an unconditioned soul, free from the Gunas , a Jivanmukth, once Samadhi is experienced. This is our goal in life , the purpose of our existence. We exist in the Gross Universe and when we live on Earth we are here to experience Brahma - Sakti . Once our karmans are resolved through Sadhana and Bhakti yoga we become of the same quality of Brahman - we were always a part of him, the Mahatman , we always had a divine nature at the core of our Sakti-Soul, the Jiva. Thus Advaita, Non-Dual Vedantic Philosophy is the great divine or Perfect Knowledge from the Vedas the embodiment of the Supreme Brahman.

We may be fortunate to have studied Jyotish or to have our life explained through this science a Vedanga of the Vedas . My hope is that I have given some of our Devotees through their birth charts ( janma rashi ) enough information to alleviate the negative tendancies that condition the soul in this life, to remedy the karmans of past and present and make determinants for a positive life - to elevate ones caste, from Hybrid to Sudra to Vaisya to Ksatriya to Brahmin all in this life time through the five austerities. Whatever our jatidharma our birth caste-nature we can determine our present and future nature and reach the other world in the Nirmamatva ( not-my-ness) state. Shravana (hearing of Gods glories), Kirtana (glorifiying God) and Manana (meditating on God ) is the keys to his Loka -world. Om Nama Sivaya
